Excellent written communication is essential to good business because you are representing the organisation. Therefore, if you send out written communication with spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, poor punctuation, and unclear meanings, your credibility and your organisation's credibility may be questioned. Remember - your first point of contact in business is often in the written form... and first impressions do count!
Good written skills need practice and sometimes we can develop bad habits. We may not notice these but clients do. This interesting and informative program is for everyone who uses the written word in their daily life.
Fundamentals of Excellent Writing I 9.30am - 12.30pm
This program will reinforce and establish correct writing procedures and use of the English language. More specifically, the course will emphasise the importance of effective writing in the workplace and some methods used to achieve that.
Fundamentals of Excellent Writing II
1.30pm - 4.30pm
This program will examine the importance of style, especially as it relates to effective report writing.
Covering the differences between subjective and objective writing, and the uses of each, there will be an emphasis on the importance of being able to write objectively about subjective issues. Some descriptive and creative writing will also be included.
